Director Conveys the Importance of Team Management at Communication and Information System in East Java

Batu City (14/10/2020),  graduate program director, Prof. Mas’ud Said, Ph.D, conveyed the importance of team management at the Social Media Management Coordination Meeting for Managers from the District/City Communication and Information office in East Java. Located at the Orchid Hotel Batu City, this agenda was held by implementing health protocols. 

Prof. Mas’ud, the Director’s nickname, said that Communication and Information office was the service that received the first attention of the governor of East Java, Khofifah Indar Parawansa. In its development, the East Java Department of Communication and Information developed a Big Data and Command Center, under the direct command of the vice governor, Emil Elestianto Dardak, D.Sc.

Furthermore, Mas’ud Said, the Professor of Government Science,  explained the objectives of developing Department of Communication and Information, namely: making big data, integrated information management, integrated information systems, and digitizing public information. This development is in response to public information services using digital information.

He also explained the importance of inter-institutional synergy. “Departmental work must be administratively performed by relying on applicable regulations such as regional regulations, governor regulations, which are supported by clear main tasks and functions,” he concluded.

After the team is formed, information is disseminated from various channels, such as social media, government websites, private media, both national and regional. To create quality content, you need influential resources such as influencers, youtubers, IT experts and news management teams.

According to this Flinders University alumni, there are 10 management tips to create a super team, including: 1) Your team must be strong 2) You must have a great balance 3) Momentum is key to performance 4) You must be flexible 5) You must practice 6) Support from each other is key 7) Everyone must play his role. 8) What you accomplish may look stunning to outsiders, but you know it comes from a lot of hard work. 9) Everyone needs to be in sync. 10) Great teams have a story to share.
