Prof. M. Mas’ud Said, MM., PhD, Director of Unisma’s Postgraduate Program, presented six compelling reasons to pursue graduate studies to graduates of the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education (FKIP).
The FKIP graduates were attending an open ceremony formally confirming their graduation and conferring their academic decree (SK Yudisium). The event was attended by the Dean, FKIP’s Deputy Deans, and graduates, unfolding in a solemn, dignified atmosphere.
According to Prof. Mas’ud, at least six reasons make continuing on to graduate study at Unisma worthwhile:

Every study program within Unisma’s Postgraduate Program holds either A or B accreditation. Two programs currently hold A accreditation: Islamic Religious Education and Indonesian Language Education.

Fresh Unisma graduates receive a 25 percent discount on tuition fees, a program specifically designed to support recent graduates in immediately advancing their skills.
Non-fresh Unisma graduates, meanwhile, receive a 20 percent discount, well-suited for alumni looking to return for further study.

A Streamlined, High-Quality Academic System
Under the Merdeka Belajar (Independent Campus) policy, students gain flexibility to convert relevant off-campus activities into course credit.
Prof. Mas’ud offered an example: a student in the English program who teaches at a formal or non-formal educational institution can have that experience credited toward an English teaching course.
Research Centers, Unified Data, and Community Partner Villages
Unisma’s Postgraduate Program maintains a Multicultural Islamic Studies Development Center and an East Java Studies Center, both designed to foster student creativity, particularly in research. Its Community Partner Villages initiative, meanwhile, supports both research and community service activities.
