With the “Out of The Box” initiative, Unisma’s Master’s Program in Animal Husbandry is positioning itself to become the best in Indonesia. Efforts to achieve this goal include improving the quality of scientific articles.
On Saturday, May 27, 2023, a workshop and mentoring session on writing scientific articles in the field of animal husbandry was held in the Meeting Room on the 4th floor of the Abu Bakar Building at Unisma Foundation Office.
The event opened with remarks by the Head of Master’s Program in Animal Husbandry, Dr. Ir. Mudawamah, M.Si., IPM, ASEAN Eng, who announced the target of submitting six manuscripts to Scopus-indexed journals or conference proceedings.

Following the opening, the Director of Postgraduate Program, Prof. Mas’ud Said, Ph.D., provided guidance on scientific article writing as a strategy to achieve Key Performance Indicators.
The core material was presented by Prof. Dr. Ir. Osjfar Sofan, a Professor of Animal Husbandry at Brawijaya University. He shared various strategies and reliable sources, including SINTA (Science and Technology Index) accreditation from the Ministry of Education and Culture, which is relevant to the field of Animal Husbandry.
The best strategies for writing scientific papers in the field of Animal Science emphasize the importance of following the guidelines set by the target journal and understanding the publication requirements.
The requirements for writing the best articles in the field of Animal Science include font format, spacing, tables, units, figures, and references that comply with the journal’s guidelines.
Furthermore, originality in writing, including in-depth data analysis, is essential for producing outstanding scientific works in the field of Animal Husbandry.
Furthermore, articles in the field of Animal Husbandry must demonstrate critical and analytical thinking, ensuring a smooth flow between the title, introduction, results, and conclusion.
