Malang, May 27, 2023 – In an effort to keep pace with developments in information and communication technology, the Master’s Program in Animal Husbandry at Universitas Islam Malang held a workshop aimed at enhancing the digital literacy of faculty and students by teaching them website development skills.
The workshop was led by Umar Khadafi, M.Pd, an expert in information technology and digital marketing. The Director of Iblu Academy and his team provided an in-depth understanding of website creation, including platform selection, content management, and techniques for Google indexing.

In this workshop, faculty members and students of the Master’s Program in Animal Husbandry learned step-by-step how to create websites tailored to the needs of their program. They studied the basics of free website creation, WordPress, as well as strategies for website development and maintenance.
Dr. Ir. Mudawamah, M.Si., ASEAN Eng, Head of Master’s Program in Animal Husbandry, expressed her hopes for this initiative. She hopes that faculty and students will not only master website development technology but also actively contribute relevant content related to research and community service activities in the field of Animal Husbandry.

Participants were focused on learning how to build websites, with the support team assisting them in understanding the workshop material.

This “Digital Literacy” workshop is expected to serve as the first step in preparing UNISMA’s Master of Animal Husbandry lecturers and students to become more proficient in navigating the digital era. It is hoped that, after attending this workshop, they will be able to utilize websites for marketing purposes within their respective industries.
With the increasing use of digital technology in the livestock industry, proficiency in website development is becoming increasingly important.
