Balikpapan, June 28, 2025 – Prof. Dr. H. M. Mas’ud Said, M.M., Ph.D., attended an invitation from Sekolah Tinggi Ilmu Tarbiyah Balikpapan (STITBA) to deliver a keynote scientific address at its undergraduate graduation ceremony, held solemnly in Balikpapan, East Kalimantan.
Prof. Mas’ud Said’s presence also marked an opportunity to strengthen ties with alumni and introduce the flagship programs of the Postgraduate School of Universitas Islam Malang (UNISMA) to the academic community and education stakeholders in East Kalimantan.
The current Chairman of STITBA, Dr. Khoirul Anam Siddeh, is an alumnus of UNISMA’s Doctoral Program in Multicultural Islamic Education, graduating in 2024. In addition to leading STITBA, he also serves as a lecturer at UIN Sultan Aji Muhammad Idris Samarinda, reflecting the tangible contributions of UNISMA alumni across various regions of Indonesia.

In his address, Prof. Mas’ud emphasized that his attendance went beyond institutional duty, underscoring his commitment to maintaining strong alumni relations.
“Our presence here is purely to reconnect and strengthen bonds with alumni. We hope this synergy contributes to improving the quality of education in Indonesia,” he said.
“We also consistently promote UNISMA’s Postgraduate School. Our institution has demonstrated excellence at both university and program levels,” Prof. Mas’ud added.
Through this engagement, UNISMA reaffirmed its commitment to expanding academic networks, empowering alumni, and advancing high-quality Islamic higher education across Indonesia.
