Offical Name Changes: Master in Law and Master in Public Administration

Malang, November 15, 2023 – The Postgraduate Program at Universitas (UNISMA) announced official name changes for two of its flagship programs. The Master of Legal Studies program has been changed to Master of Law, while the Master of Administrative Studies program has been renamed Master of Public Administration.

This decision was formalized by the Director General of Higher Education, Research, and Technology of the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology of the Republic of Indonesia through letter number 816/E/O/2023 in response to a request from UNISMA’s Rector. This letter regarding the name change was signed by Prof. Ir. Nizam, M.Sc., DIC., Ph.D., Director General of Higher Education, Research, and Technology (Dirjen Diktiristek).

This name change aligns with Dirjen Diktiristek Regulation No. 163/E/KPT/2022, which governs the naming of study programs within academic and professional education. UNISMA, as an educational institution committed to continuously improving the quality and relevance of education, views this name change as a strategic step to further highlight the identity and focus of these two study programs.

Master in Law at UNISMA has long been recognized as one of the leading programs in its field, while the Master of Public Administration has also made significant contributions in producing graduates ready to compete in the professional world.
