Director of Postgraduate Program presents the Terms of Reference (TOR) for the collaboration between East Java Province and the Observatory for Deradicalization and Extremism, an organization under the umbrella of Al-Azhar University in Cairo. This collaboration aims to strengthen the mission of Unisma’s Postgraduate Program and enhance its international role in the fields of peacekeeping and the promotion of multiculturalism.

Accompanied by the Rector of KH Abdul Chalim Islamic Institute, Mas’ud Said was received by the Indonesian Ambassador to Cairo, Luthfi Rauf, along with his deputies and directors.
The Indonesian Embassy in Cairo agreed to support the cooperation project initiated by East Java Governor Khofifah Indar Parawansa and the Chairman of the Amanatul Ummah Foundation/Founder, Prof. KH Asep Syaifuddin Chalim. This is in recognition of Indonesia’s strength as a nation committed to harmony and a new world order characterized by peace and mutual respect.
The implementation of the 1945 Constitution to “create world peace and social justice” is the duty of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Indonesian Embassies everywhere, including in Egypt. Mas’ud is confident that what we propose will lead to great benefits in the future.
This visit follows up on an agreement between Governor Khofifah Indar Parawansa and Prof. Dr. Kyai Asep Syaifuddin Chalim, head of the Amanatul Ummah Islamic Boarding School, who met some time ago with Grand Sheikh Prof. Dr. At Thayeb of Al-Azhar University.

Egypt boasts a history of ancient human civilizations, much like the Yellow River Valley in China, the civilizations of India, Mesopotamia, Ancient Greece, the Maya in South America, and other ancient civilizations.
By visiting Egypt, we can enjoy the scenery of the Nile River, the beauty of the Sphinx, and the Great Pyramids. We can revisit the stories of the Pharaohs, Prophet Joseph (AS), the story of Prophet Moses (AS), and the world from 6,000 to 3,000 years before the Common Era. Additionally, we learn from Islamic civilizations, such as the magnificent fortress of Saladin. We also had the opportunity to visit the tomb of Sheikh Al-Busyiri, the author of the Burdah.
“We still need to delve deeper to find lessons from the events of 6,000–3,000 years before the birth of Prophet Jesus (peace be upon him) or 4,500 years before the birth of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him),” he emphasized.
