UNISMA Postgraduate Director Speaks on Strategic Planning at UINSA Faculty of Da’wah and Communication Webinar

On Wednesday, 9 September 2020, Prof. M. Mas’ud Said, Ph.D., Director of UNISMA Postgraduate Program, served as a speaker at the webinar on “Formulation of the Strategic Business Plan (Renstra) of FDK UINSA 2020–2025.”

As resource person, the Postgraduate Director delivered a presentation titled “Institutional Development Roadmap and New Governance Toward an Internationally Reputable and Excellent FDK.”

In his presentation, the Professor of Administrative Science conveyed that the key to an effective strategic plan is closely tied to university governance, human resource development, linkages to centres of excellence, and international networks.

Beyond the success factors of strategic planning, the Member of the East Java Provincial Expert Council also drew attention to the importance of examining strategic issues within the scope of da’wah and communication studies including big data and electronic communication, integrated information systems, as well as peace development, multiculturalism, and Islam as a mercy (Islam rahmah).

The webinar, organised by the Faculty of Da’wah and Communication, Universitas Islam Negeri Sunan Ampel Surabaya (UINSA), was moderated by Dr. H. Abdul Halim, M.Ag., Dean of FDK UINSA. UINSA Rector Prof. H. Masdar Hilmy, Ph.D. delivered opening remarks prior to the presentation sessions.

The remaining presentations were delivered by Prof. Dr. H. Nur Syam, M.Si. and Prof. Dr. Drs. H. Jusuf Irianto, M.Com., serving as the second and third resource persons respectively. (NAD/AL/PPS)
