10 September 2020, Postgraduate Program Director once again served as a speaker in a webinar organised by Universitas Islam Negeri Sunan Ampel (UINSA). This time, the webinar was initiated by the Faculty of Islamic Economics and Business (FEBI), UINSA. Titled “Reconstruction of the Faculty and Study Program Strategic Business Plan in Facing the Era of Disruption,” the webinar focused on the development of FEBI UINSA.
The webinar was moderated by Drs. H. Nur Kholis, M.Ed. Admin., Ph.D., Deputy Dean 3 of FEBI UINSA, followed by a keynote speech delivered by UINSA Rector Prof. Masdar Hilmy, Ph.D. The Postgraduate Director served as a resource person alongside Dr. Wonny Ahmad R., MM., Expert Staff of P2SDM at Bogor Agricultural Institute (Institut Pertanian Bogor/IPB).
In his presentation, Postgraduate Program Director Prof. M. Mas’ud Said, Ph.D., conveyed that higher education institutions must continuously improve and adapt themselves to an ever-changing and dynamic environment.
He further identified three essential actions that institutions must undertake to sustain themselves in the era of disruption. First, strengthening institutional capacity, human resources, information systems, and collaborative partnerships. Second, delivering the highest quality of education to produce outcome-based achievement and evaluation. Third, making meaningful contributions to the advancement of knowledge and civilisation.
The East Java Provincial Expert Council Member also urged the advancement of information technology within UINSA particularly within FEBI UINSA. (NAD/AL/PPS)
