Umar Kadafi explained the role of Google Scholar in international rankings, particularly Webometrics. Webometrics is an international ranking system for university websites worldwide. Google Scholar serves as an evaluation metric for openness indicators.
A poorly managed Google Scholar account can lead to it being blacklisted and result in a reduction of international ranking points. Nasrullah Hadits, the second presenter, continued by providing technical coaching on improving Google Scholar accounts. Some of the areas covered included: profiles, and removing other people’s articles that have been added to our accounts.
This Google Scholar and SINTA training is expected to provide significant benefits to Unisma graduate faculty in managing their scholarly works and research. Additionally, it is hoped that this will enhance Unisma’s reputation and quality as a high-performing educational institution at both the national and international levels. (AL/PPS)
