Postgraduate Program Strengthens Key Performance Indicators Through International Collaboration

Malang, July 12, 2023 – A delegation from the Postgraduate Program at Universitas Islam Malang (Unisma) visited Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) to strengthen Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) through international collaboration.

The delegation, consisting of Director Prof. M. Mas’ud Said, the Deputy Director, Heads of Study Programs, graduate program lecturers, and the Office of International Affairs (KUI), carried out a series of activities aimed at improving the quality of higher education at Unisma.

During this visit, representatives from Unisma’s postgraduate program presented their vision and mission, as well as programs for faculty exchanges, research collaboration, book writing, journal publication, and institutional strengthening.

The delegation was accompanied by the First Vice Rector for Academic Affairs and Collaboration, Prof. Junaidi Mistar, Ph.D. To enhance quality and international reputation, the delegation visited various leading universities and institutions in Malaysia.

Collaboration with Universiti Putra Malaysia

On the first day of the visit, the delegation, consisting of the Heads of Study Programs and the Dean of the Faculty of Law, held a collaboration initiative meeting with the leadership of postgraduate programs and faculties at Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM).

Beginning with a visit to the UPM Faculty of Agriculture, the delegation met with the leadership of the Faculty of Education at Universiti Putra Malaysia.

In the spirit of mutually reinforcing cooperation, representatives from Unisma’s postgraduate program were received in the Faculty of Education Conference Room at Universiti Putra Malaysia by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nor Aniza Ahmad (A.A.P.), the associate dean for research, innovation, and funding, along with the leadership of Universiti Putra Malaysia’s postgraduate program.

Both institutions agreed to carry out International Benchmarking, Joint Research-Publication, Visiting Professor/Guest Lecture, and Community Development programs. The plan is to sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) in the near future regarding the three pillars of higher education between the two parties.

International Collaboration Continuation

This international program will continue until July 13, 2023. The activities, which began on July 9, aim to strengthen all Unisma’s postgraduate programs to achieve recognition as a world-class university.

Through this international collaboration, Unisma’s Postgraduate Program hopes to elevate the standards of education and research quality, as well as provide valuable international experiences for students and faculty. This initiative is expected to position Unisma as a leading and competitive center of higher education on the global stage. (MMS/AL/PPS)
