Prof. H. M. Mas’ud Said, MM., PhD, Director of Universitas Islam Malang’s Postgraduate Program, briefed 32 prospective graduates from the university’s 67th graduation cohort at the Faculty of Islamic Studies (FAI Unisma), urging them to contribute to Golden Indonesia 2045 and to world civilization at large.
The event took place on the second floor of the FAI office, Building B, Unisma, with graduates attending in person on Thursday, May 12, 2022.

The briefing unfolded in a warm, upbeat atmosphere.
In his characteristic style, Prof. Mas’ud Said broke down the essence of Unisma’s tagline “From NU for Indonesia and World Civilization” and connected it directly to the responsibilities awaiting the university’s graduates.

Drawing inspiration from Aswaja principles; tawassuth (moderation), tawazzun (balance), ta’awwun (cooperation), and i’tidal (justice) the tagline, he noted, speaks directly to Indonesia’s present challenges and the demands of building world civilization going forward.
Prof. Mas’ud emphasized that FAI Unisma graduates carry a responsibility to their communities: strengthening knowledge, character, and collective action to help shape a world civilization defined by order, peace, prosperity, and multiculturalism starting, naturally, with whatever sphere each graduate can influence most directly.
Also in attendance were members of the faculty’s leadership, including Drs. H. Anwar Sa’dullah, Dr. H. Muh. Hanief, and Dr. Rosichin Mansur. The event was further supported by Dr. Afifulloh, M.Pd, Head of the Postgraduate Master’s in PAI and Islamic Family Law programs, along with Dr. Nur Hasan, Dr. M. Muslim, Dr. Sulistiono, Dr. Fita Mustafida, and Dr. Mutiara Sari, together with faculty and staff who organized the event.
Following the briefing, organizers also introduced a tracer study initiative to evaluate the outcomes of Unisma’s education programs, an effort through which graduates themselves help advance the university’s institutional standing. (AL/MMS/PPS)
