Notary Studies Program Holds Seminar Ahead of Code of Ethics Exam

Ahead of the notary code of ethics examination, Dr. Sunardi, Head of Notary Studies, organized a seminar at Unisma’s Postgraduate Building, 7th floor, drawing roughly 70 attendees from among alumni and current students, with additional participants joining online.

Postgraduate Director Prof. H. M. Mas’ud Said, MM., PhD, formally opened the seminar, joined by Deputy Directors Dr. H. Nurfajar Arief, M.Pd, and Dr. Rulam Ahmadi.

In his opening remarks, Postgraduate Director stated: “Ethics exists in every field. Every profession carries its own code. Ethics comes down to integrity and honesty, what you say must match reality. Never make a false promise, since honesty is what every client truly needs.”

His remarks were brief, substantive, and inspiring, carrying a message of virtue relevant to everyone in attendance.

He closed his address with a short poem, playing on traditional Indonesian pantun verse:

“A gemstone ring, an agate stone, worn on Mother’s finger with pride,
If you wish to become truly good, come study at Unisma’s Postgraduate side.

Joining Mother to shop for batik, its patterns striped and fine,
If you wish to become a good person, marry a notary student in kind.”
