Director of Postgraduate Program Visits Kanjuruhan Tragedy Victims at RSSA Malang

UNISMA Director of Postgraduate Program, Prof. H. M. Mas’ud Said, MM., Ph.D., visited the victims of tragedy at Kanjuruhan Stadium at Saiful Anwar Hospital (RSSA) in Malang on Monday, October 3, 2022.

UNISMA’s professor of administrative science found that RSSA was treating 52 victims. From all of these victims, 40 were receiving intensive care and 12 had been discharged from this hospital owned by the East Java provincial government.

The distribution of treatment for patients at the hospital includes: 2 in surgical rooms, 14 in malnutrition wards, 4 in the ICUs, 5 in emergency rooms, and 3 in high-care units (HCUs). Among those discharged, 10 were discharged under medical supervision (KRS), and 2 were discharged at their own request.

To assist the victims of the Kanjuruhan tragedy, the Governor of East Java has provided financial aid, followed by Bank Jatim through its CSR program. Personally, Prof. Mas’ud also helped provide assistance to these Aremania supporters.

The visit to RSSA Hospital was accompanied by Prof. Kasuwi Syaiban (MUI Malang City), Maman Abdurrahman (MUI Malang Regency), and Habib Martain (MUI Batu City). This joint visit took place following a joint agenda with MUI East Java in Malang. Prof. Mas’ud’s visit was also accompanied by the Director of RSSA, Dr. dr. Kohar Hari Santoso, SpAn KIC KAP.

Prof. Mas’ud expressed his condolences regarding the tragedy at Kanjuruhan Stadium on October 1, 2022. As a member of the RSSA Supervisory Board, he hopes that the injured victims will recover soon and be able to resume their normal activities. He also prays that the victims who passed away may rest in peace with Allah SWT. (AL/PPS)
