Unisma’s Director of Graduate Program Explains East Java Halal Industry Opportunities

Unisma’s director of graduate program, Prof. Dr. H. M. Mas’ud Said, MM., Ph.D as a guest speaker at weekend journal  on TV 9 Nusantara under the theme of Halal Industry Opportunities in East Java on Saturday, February 20, 2021. 

Mas’ud Said who is also one of the Chairs of the East Java MUI (Indonesian Council of Religious Scholars) said that the opportunity for the halal product industry in East Java is very prospective. Governor of East Java, Khofifah Indar Parawansa, initiated the Halal Industrial Park in Sidoarjo. This program provides opportunities for Micro, small, and Medium Economy to have offices in industrial areas that are very conducive with integrated industrial processes

During the pandemic, the Indonesian economy suffered quite deeply in 2020, but there was an interesting development at the same time; halal industry increased 19.2%.
