Civil servants from Lumajang Regency are very enthusiastic about studying at Universitas Islam Malang. 120 civil servants attended an information session on Unisma’s Master’s and Doctoral programs, held in collaboration with the Lumajang Regional Civil Service Agency (BKD).
The Head of Lumajang Regency BKD, Ahmad Taufik Hidayat, M.Hum, encouraged civil servants in the region to enhance their professional competencies. Therefore, the BKD partnered with Unisma’s Postgraduate Program to organize this event.
The Director of Unisma’s Postgraduate Program, Prof. H. Mas’ud Said, MM., Ph.D., stated that the master’s and doctoral programs at Unisma offer several advantages. These include excellent accreditation, more affordable tuition fees, and each program having its own distinct features and strengths.

Presentation of the Best Questioner Award
The information session, held in the BKD Lumajang Auditorium, introduced 10 Master’s degree programs and 1 doctoral program. The civil servants appeared enthusiastic as they listened to the presentations from each program.
Some of the programs participating in the information session included: the Head of the Master’s Program in Indonesian Language Education, the Head of the Master’s Program in Administrative Science, the Head of the Master’s Program in Mathematics Education, the Head of the Master’s Program in Law, the Master’s Program in Animal Husbandry, and the Head of the Doctoral Program in Multicultural Islamic Education. Also in attendance were representatives from the Master’s Programs in Islamic Education and Islamic Family Law, as well as several postgraduate staff members.
Bekti Sawiji, S.Pd, M.Pd, from the Youth and Sports Agency served as the moderator leading the outreach sessions for each academic program. With his skill in presenting the material, Bekti successfully captured the audience’s attention.

Civil servants from Lumajang appeared enthusiastic about asking questions and engaging in discussions with the program heads and representatives from Unisma’s postgraduate programs. They appeared eager to expand their knowledge and enhance their competencies in their respective fields.
This event represents a positive step toward enhancing the competencies of Lumajang civil servants, and it is hoped that this will have a positive impact on the quality of public services. It is also hoped that, in the future, more civil servants will be interested in pursuing further studies at Unisma to advance their professional development and improve their performance in serving the public.
