Banyuwangi, July 27, 2023 – Universitas Islam Malang (Unisma) Postgraduate Program held a New Student Recruitment (PMB) outreach event in the Banyuwangi area. The purpose of this event was to introduce the various study programs, distinctions, and academic strengths of Unisma’s postgraduate program to Banyuwangi residents.
The event, held at the Luminor Hotel, was attended by various parties, including representatives from local higher education institutions such as IAIDA Blokagung and IAI Ibrahimy, as well as leaders from Bank Jatim and Islamic boarding schools.
65 prospective students attended the outreach event
The Director of Unisma’s Postgraduate Program, Prof. H. M. Mas’ud Said, MM., Ph.D, along with the Deputy Director and Heads of Study Programs (Kaprodi), actively engaged with the 65 prospective students present at the event. Through this information session, the people of Banyuwangi can enhance their knowledge and better understand the distinctiveness and strengths of Unisma’s postgraduate program as one of Indonesia’s leading universities.
During the event, the Program Directors presented information regarding the academic system, the strengths of each study program, and the achievements attained by Unisma’s Postgraduate Program. They emphasized that Unisma has made significant progress in various fields and is the right choice for those who aspire to broaden their horizons and improve the quality of their education.
Previously, Prof. H. M. Mas’ud Said, MM., Ph.D., had indirectly promoted the book through a book discussion of “Total Rebound” held at the Banyuwangi Regency Hall. The book discussion was attended by the Regent of Banyuwangi, Ipuk Fiestiandani, as well as a number of other important figures, such as representatives from the Indonesian National Armed Forces (TNI) and the Indonesian National Police (Polri), the head of the Tourism Office, the Regional Development Planning Agency (Bapeda), and rectors from several local universities.

To maximize outreach efforts, the program heads who participated in the event at the Luminor Hotel were:

- Prof. Dr. Djunadi Ghony – Head of the PAI Doctoral Program (Islamic Education)
- Dr. Imam Wahyudi Karimullah, SS., M.A. – Lecturer in the Master’s Program in English Language Education
- Dr. Pardiman, SE., MM – Head of the Master’s Program in Management
This information session on Unisma’s postgraduate program admissions in Banyuwangi is expected to help prospective students understand the opportunities and benefits of joining a program of study that aligns with their interests and talents.
Additionally, it is hoped that this event will strengthen the synergy between Unisma’s Postgraduate Program and various relevant parties in the Banyuwangi region to support the development of better and higher-quality higher education. (AL/PPS)
