Doctoral students in Multicultural Islamic Education at UNISMA conducted a community service program to enhance attitudes of tolerance based on multicultural Islamic education through the Doctoral Candidate Service Program (KDM) at the Matholi’ul Anwar Islamic Boarding School in Lamongan on Sunday (January 21, 2024) afternoon.
This activity is part of the doctoral program at UNISMA. Four UNISMA Multicultural Islamic Education doctoral students, Zainul Hakim, Muhammad Najib, Aan Abuel Hasan, and Hilmi Alwi Abdillah, participated directly in this activity.

“This program is an effort to foster tolerance among fellow students. Additionally, it is a manifestation of our service in the field of education,” said Muhammad Najib in his opening remarks as the representative of the UNISMA Doctoral Service Candidates.
Gus Tomy expressed his gratitude and hoped that the implementation of the Doctoral Service Program at the Matholi’ul Anwar Islamic Boarding School would serve as a catalyst to inspire the students to enhance their tolerance, a vital asset for community life.

During the event, doctoral students from UNISMA’s Multicultural Islamic Education program presented material covering the definition of tolerance, interfaith harmony, challenges of diversity, challenges of religious localization, obstacles to interfaith harmony, Islamic concepts regarding interfaith relations, and Rahmatan Lil Alamin.
The Doctoral Candidate Community Service (KDM) activity was attended by all students of the Matholi’ul Anwar MA Religious Studies Program, who are students of the Matholi’ul Anwar Islamic Boarding School, both male and female in the 3rd-floor auditorium of the Matholi’ul Anwar MA Building in Simo Sungelebak, Karanggeneng, Lamongan.
