In his capacity as Director of the Unisma Postgraduate Program, Mas’ud Said is known for his ability to foster close relationships with students and alumni. On various occasions, such as national seminars or public lectures. Mas’ud Said often reaches out to students or alumni groups.
During a presentation at the Malang City MUI discussing community peace and interfaith harmony at Hotel Montana II in Malang City, Mas’ud invited Unisma doctoral program students to attend an off-campus session.
Coincidentally, the composition of the MUI team and the class he teaches is exactly the same. M. Mas’ud Said is the instructor for the course on Conflict, Peace, and Conflict Resolution, designed to equip students to serve as peacekeepers.
The students were overjoyed; not only did they gain deeper insights into the experiences of the Ulama Council, but they also received a presentation on the chapter on peace.
Likewise, on every occasion, M. Mas’ud frequently receives groups of out-of-town students who come for social visits outside of class hours. Mas’ud provides books and examples of dissertations that have already been examined so that students can study the formats and develop high-quality dissertations.
On the Unisma campus, to foster closer ties, Mas’ud Said set up a photo booth corner for alumni who wish to sign their diplomas; they can stop by to take photos and greet one another.
This is perhaps what makes the learning atmosphere in the Graduate School so dynamic and the bonds so strong. (MMS/PPS)
