Universitas Islam Malang (UNISMA), as an Islamic university based on the Ahlus Sunnah Wal Jama’ah tradition, continues to promote Sholawat gatherings and various other religious activities. Tonight, UNISMA hosted Jamaah Sholawat Nariyah UNISMA, abbreviated as JASNU.
JASNU event was held in the Hasyim Asy’ari Round Building, Prof. Dr. H. Tolchah Hasan Auditorium, attended by K.H. Zaki Abdullah (Rois Syuriah of PCNU Situbondo). He was the sole speaker at this Sholawat Nariyah gathering, organized by UNISMA. Other attendees included UNISMA Rector Prof. Dr. H. Maskuri, M.Si., along with his deputies.
The guests who joined Sholawat Nariyah gathering included UNISMA administrators, faculty members, and students. Their presence was intended to bring prosperity not only to UNISMA but also to everyone, particularly those in attendance at the event.
As stated by UNISMA Rector in his remarks, “This Sholawat gathering is for the prosperity of all leaders, staff, and students. Therefore, I am fully committed to carrying out this event. Even though we cannot see the angels, they are present and watching over us all.”
One of K.H. Zaki Abdullah’s statements implies an encouragement for us to always practice the Sholawat, particularly the Sholawat Nariyah, by increasing our recitation of Sholawat Nariyah, thereby protecting our homes and hometowns from various calamities and safeguarding them from social deviance. He recounted the story of a village whose residents practiced Sholawat Nariyah; as a result, the village was safe from theft, conflict, and other such issues.
K.H. Zaki Abdullah’s statement serves as inspiration that practicing Sholawat Nariyah at UNISMA is intended to keep UNISMA safe from various calamities so that UNISMA may continue to progress and thrive.
