Malang, July 24, 2024 – The Doctoral Program in Islamic Religious Education (PAI) at Universitas Islam Malang conducted the first-stage selection process for candidates of the 2024 PTKI Scholarship. The scholarship program is administered by the Lembaga Pengembangan Pesantren dan Diniyah Jawa Timur (LPPD East Java) and is intended for lecturers within Islamic higher education institutions affiliated with Islamic boarding schools.
The first-stage selection consisted of a series of examinations conducted by two professors specializing in Islamic Religious Education. The assessment aimed to evaluate the academic competence and research potential of the scholarship candidates. The examiners were Maskuri and Djunaidi Ghony.
The selection stage was attended by several scholarship candidates who had previously passed the administrative screening process. Those who successfully complete this stage will proceed to the next round, which includes interviews and a classical Islamic text (kitab kuning) reading examination administered by LPPD.
Through the PTKI scholarship program, it is expected that highly qualified lecturers will emerge and contribute significantly to improving the quality of Islamic religious education within the pesantren community.
