UNISMA and UIN Maliki Malang Launch Joint Book Project

BATU – Two prestigious Islamic universities in Malang, Universitas Islam Malang (Unisma) and Universitas Islam Negeri (UIN) Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang, have launched an academic collaboration in the form of a joint book project. The first step in cooperation was marked by an inaugural meeting held at Building A of UIN Maliki’s Postgraduate Program, Campus 2 Pendem, Junrejo, Batu City.

This important meeting was attended by leaders and delegates from both universities. The delegation from Unisma was led by the Vice Rector for Academic Affairs and Cooperation, Dr. Erna Sulistyowati, M.Kes., Ph.D. Also accompanying Unisma’s Postgraduate Program delegation were Prof. H. M. Mas’ud Said, Ph.D., Dr. Moh. Afifulloh, M.Pd., Dr. Ahmad Tabrani, M.Pd., Dr. Dian M. Hakim, M.Ed., and Dr. Dwi Ari Kurniawati, M.H., as well as support staff Aliyul Murtadlo.

The Unisma delegation was warmly welcomed by UIN Maliki Malang, represented by the Vice Rector for Cooperation, Prof. Dr. Ahmad Abdul Hamid, M.A., and the UIN Maliki Postgraduate Directorate, Prof. Dr. H. Agus Maimun, Prof. Dr. Hj. Like Raskova Octaberlina, M.Ed., M.Pd., and Dr. H. Sutaman, M.A. In addition, several professors and doctoral faculty members were also present to welcome the delegation, including Prof. Dr. H. M. Fauzan Zenrif, M.Ag., Prof. Dr. H. Nurzaman, M.Am., Prof. Dr. H. Zaenal Mahmudi, M.Div., Prof. Dr. H. Bisri Mustofa, M.A., and Prof. Slamet, SE., MM.

The event began with an official opening by Director of Postgraduate Program at UIN Maliki Malang, Prof. Agus Maimun. In his remarks, he expressed appreciation for the enthusiasm of both institutions to collaborate in producing scholarly works with a broad impact. The event then continued with remarks from the Vice Rectors of both institutions, who both reaffirmed their strong commitment to the success of this joint academic and literacy project.

This book-writing collaboration is expected to strengthen institutional ties between Unisma and UIN Maliki Malang, while also serving as a tangible contribution to the development of Indonesia’s body of knowledge.
