UNISMA Postgraduate Program received a visit from Panca Marga University (UPM) Probolinggo to sign a collaboration agreement on February 5, 2020. Their visit was a reciprocal visit of UNISMA Postgraduate Program’s delegation on January 22.
Panca Marga University (UPM) delegation was welcomed in UNISMA Postgraduate Director’s office. At the beginning of discussion, UNISMA Postgraduate Director emphasized, “In postgraduate program, we cannot just walk, we must run. Success is not always easy, sometimes we fall and get back up. Even the Prophet Muhammad faced such struggles.”

After a brief discussion in Director’s office, the entire UPM Probolinggo delegation along with UNISMA’s leadership, faculty, and staff proceeded to meeting room 4-3 on the 4th floor of Ali Bin Abi Tholib Building.
The meeting was convened to sign a Memorandum of Understanding and began with opening remarks by UNISMA Postgraduate Director Prof. H. M. Mas’ud Said, MM, Ph.D. In his remarks, Prof. Mas’ud Said stated, “Building relationships is a source of strength and brings many benefits. As the Director of UNISMA’s Postgraduate Program, I am delighted that our collaboration with the UPM Probolinggo team has brought us good fortune. This meeting is mutually beneficial.”
“Our priority right now is to sign an MoU (Memorandum of Understanding) to serve as a legal framework for the collaboration between UPM Probolinggo and UNISMA Postgraduate Program. We need to learn from one another. We need to learn what UPM Probolinggo has to offer, and what UPM can learn here (at UNISMA’s Postgraduate Program). We share the same mission: to educate society” emphasized Prof. Mas’ud Said, who also serves as Chair of ISNU East Java.

Following the signing of Cooperation Agreement, Deputy Director 2, Dr. H. Nur Fajar Arif, M.Pd., outlined the distinctive features and strengths of UNISMA’s Postgraduate Program that set it apart from other universities. (RA/AL/PPS)
