The Director of Postgraduate Program at Universitas Islam Malang, Prof. M. Mas’ud Said, PhD, was a featured speaker at an international webinar hosted by Universitas Syeikh Nawawi Banten (USNB).
The webinar, titled “The Role of Educational Institutions in Strengthening the Global Halal Ecosystem,” was held on Sunday, December 8, 2024.

Prof. Mas’ud Said presented a paper entitled “The Prospect of the Global Halal Industry and the Role of Universities in East Java.”
The event was attended by university leaders, lecturers and students of USNB, alongside international speaker Dr. Winai Dahlan from Thailand and the Head of Indonesia’s Halal Product Assurance Agency (BPJPH), Dr. A. Haikal Hasan, ST., MT.

The webinar formed part of the university’s first anniversary celebration and was officially opened by Indonesia’s 13th Vice President, Ma’ruf Amin.
The forum aligns closely with Unisma’s roadmap toward achieving World-Class University status by 2027, underscoring the institution’s commitment to contributing actively to international academic forums both at home and abroad.
