The International Affairs Office (Kantor Urusan Internasional/KUI) of Universitas Islam Malang (UNISMA) held a coordination and preparatory session with doctoral students from the Postgraduate Program, cohorts of 2017, 2018, and 2019 on Friday, 6 March 2020, in Room 6.13 of Ali Bin Abi Thalib Building, 6th Floor.

The session commenced at 09:00 with discussions on preparations for the departure of doctoral students to two state universities in Brunei Darussalam and Malaysia, where they will present their academic articles. The articles are to be presented before professors at the respective institutions, with the aim of obtaining scholarly insights and constructive feedback to further refine the students’ work.
Following the briefing, Dr. Imam Wahyu Karimullah, M.Pd., Head of UNISMA’s International Relations Division, proceeded to classify students according to their proficiency in English and Arabic.

Unfortunately, the departure date has yet to be confirmed, given the spread of the coronavirus across several countries. In the meantime, UNISMA’s KUI continues to monitor and update developments in line with the international policies of each destination country.
Following the briefing by the KUI Head, students were equipped with listening practice sessions conducted by a native speaker from Germany, Mr. Abdulselam Aslendur. The German Muslim speaker shared insights into the lives of the Muslim community in Germany, covering both social activities and educational matters.
