Director of Postgraduate Studies: Unisma FIA Graduates Must Be ‘Game Changers’ in Their Communities

Malang, January 5, 2024 – The Director of Postgraduate Studies, Prof. H. M. Mas’ud Said, Ph.D., urged Unisma FIA graduates to become ‘game changers’ in their communities. This message was delivered during the Celebration and Farewell Ceremony for Prospective Graduates of the Faculty of Administrative Sciences (FIA) at Unisma, held at the Santika Premiere Hotel.

As the leader of the Nahdlatul Ulama Scholars Association (ISNU) in East Java, he hopes that FIA graduates can become leaders in the Indonesian government and also serve as “game changers” capable of bringing positive change wherever they go or within any institution. Each graduate is also expected to enhance the institutional capacity of their organization, not just their own personal capabilities.

“When you are present in a place or institution, be a ‘game changer’ capable of improving conditions for the better. Be a leader who can make a tangible contribution to progress,” said Prof. Mas’ud Said with great enthusiasm.

This message aligns with his expectations for FIA graduates to continuously enhance both their personal and institutional capacities. To support this, Prof. Mas’ud Said encouraged the graduates to pursue master’s-level studies at Unisma’s postgraduate program.

“Pursuing a master’s degree is a good step to broaden one’s horizons and enhance personal capabilities. Unisma’s postgraduate program offers excellent institutional quality, and we provide a 25% tuition fee discount for fresh graduates who continue their studies,” he added.

Additionally, Prof. Mas’ud Said is part of the team that translated Unisma’s tagline: “From NU for Indonesia and World Civilization.” He explained that Unisma was born from the womb of Nahdlatul Ulama (NU) and has made significant contributions to the progress of Indonesia, world civilization, the Muslim community, and global society.

With this spirit, it is hoped that FIA Unisma graduates can become agents of change who bring positive impacts to their surrounding communities, in line with NU’s values and Unisma’s vision to contribute to the progress of Indonesia and world civilization.
