Postgraduate students at Unisma organized an activity to strengthen the fundamentals of trigonometry for prospective math teachers. This initiative was the result of a collaboration between faculty members and students. The event was held on November 23, 2023, at the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education (FKIP) at Unisma
The role of postgraduate students is crucial in improving the quality of mathematics education. With their in-depth knowledge, they play a key role in reinforcing the fundamentals of trigonometry for prospective mathematics teachers.
This program focuses not only on theoretical aspects but also incorporates practical elements through case studies, creative projects, and demonstrations of how trigonometric concepts are applied in real-world situations. Postgraduate students serve as facilitators during training sessions, while faculty members provide guidance on developing instructional materials and teaching strategies.
Additionally, the initiative led by Sofiyatul Ilmi et al. also developed trigonometry learning materials tailored to students’ characteristics, designed to facilitate the learning process in schools. This program offers direct benefits to prospective math teachers through the innovative approach championed by the postgraduate students.
