On 1 September 2020, four study programs within UNISMA’s Postgraduate Program simultaneously embarked on a comprehensive curriculum reconstruction. Programs involved are the Master’s Program in Indonesian Language Education (MPBI), Master’s Program in Animal Husbandry (MPt), Master’s Program in Islamic Religious Education (MPAI), and Master’s Program in Islamic Family Law (MHKI).
Curriculum reconstruction meetings were held immediately following an integrated briefing by Postgraduate Program Director, Prof. M. Mas’ud Said, Ph.D., in Meeting Room, 3rd Floor, Ali bin Abi Thalib Building. In his address, Professor of Administrative Science emphasised that courses offered within the Postgraduate Program should be aligned with current industry demands, in response to Ministry of Education and Culture’s Freedom to Learn Independent Campus (Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka) policy initiative.
Curriculum reconstruction for MPBI was held in Lecture Room 4.3, opened by Director and Deputy Director II. The meeting was attended by Head of MPBI Program, Dr. Akhmad Tabrani, M.Pd.; Secretary of Universitas Islam Malang Foundation, Dr. Mochtar Data; Dr. Hasan Busri, M.Pd., Dean of Faculty of Teacher Training and Education; as well as MPBI’s five-member reconstruction team and quality control cluster.

Similarly, MPt conducted its curriculum reconstruction alongside a team of expert lecturers drawn from MPt faculty itself. In attendance were Head of MPt, Dr. Sumartono, MP.; Dean of Faculty of Animal Husbandry, Dr. Inggit Kentjonowaty, MP.; four additional reconstruction team lecturers; and MPt students.
For MPAI, meeting was chaired by Dr. Moh. Afifulloh, M.Pd., Head of MPAI Program, attended by Dr. Rosichin Mansur, M.Pd.; Dr. Dwi Fitriyono, M.PdI.; Dr. M. Fahmi Hidayatullah, M.PdI.; and Dr. Eko Setyawan, M.Pd., all serving as reconstruction team members.

For MHKI, meeting was chaired by Dwi Ari Kurniawati, MH., Program Secretary, attended by a reconstruction team comprising Dr. KH. Dahlan Tamrin, M.Ag.; Dr. H. Zulfikar Rodlafi Afifullah, MA.; and H. M. Khoirul Asyifak, M.Ag.

Curriculum reconstruction meetings will be conducted in phases until revised curricula are deemed sufficiently refined for implementation in the forthcoming academic year. (NAD/AL/PPS)
