MALANG – Universitas Islam Malang has further strengthened its academic ranks by inducting three new full professors on Saturday, May 9, 2026. This significant milestone marks the addition of distinguished experts who are expected to bring about significant changes in the fields of education and research in Indonesia. The three professors who officially hold this highest academic title are Prof. Dr. Ir. Hj. Istirochah Pujiwati, M.P., Prof. Dr. apt. Yudi Purnomo, M.Kes., and Prof. Dr. Dwi Susilowati, S.P., M.P.
Two of the newly appointed professors are from the Faculty of Agriculture: Prof. Istirochah Pujiwati, who possesses deep expertise in plant physiology, and Prof. Dwi Susilowati, who focuses on agribusiness community development. Their presence is expected to make tangible contributions to innovations in food security and the economic empowerment of farmers. Meanwhile, from the Faculty of Medicine, Prof. Yudi Purnomo, based in the Pharmacy program, further strengthens UNISMA’s ranks of health experts through his strategic research.
This inauguration is not only a source of pride for the academic community but also serves as a catalyst to inspire other young faculty members to continue their work. The arrival of these new professors brings great hope that their ideas and research will inspire broader research efforts, in support of the nation’s progress in the future.
