Malang, August 29, 2024 – Master in Islamic Religious Education (PAI) at Postgraduate Program of Universitas Islam Malang welcomed a delegation from Master’s Program in Islamic Religious Education at Institut Agama Islam Al-Karimiyah Depok. The visit was led by Dr. Syahril, ME., MM., Head of the S2 PAI Program at IAI Al-Karimiyah Depok, who initiated the implementation of an academic partnership between the two institutions.
During the meeting, both parties agreed to strengthen collaboration in education, research, and community service. The initiative aims to expand the scope of the existing partnership and foster more effective academic cooperation.

One concrete step in collaboration is the planned joint class scheduled for October 2024. The program will bring together students from both institutions in the course Research Methodology in Educational Studies, marking the first academic activity under the partnership.
Dr. Syahril expressed his enthusiasm for the collaboration with UNISMA Postgraduate Program. He also praised the university’s achievements, noting that UNISMA has earned an “excellent” accreditation status at both program and institutional levels. “These achievements reflect UNISMA’s strong dedication and commitment to advancing the quality of education,” he said.
In a separate statement, the Head of Master’s Program in Islamic Religious Education at UNISMA acknowledged that achieving such recognition required significant effort. “Attaining an excellent accreditation status demands hard work, strategic thinking, and sincere dedication,” said Dr. Afifulloh, M.Pd., expressing hope that the collaboration will deliver meaningful benefits for both institutions and the wider community.
