Serving as village head for a third term is no easy feat. But for Wina Nurnama, M.Si, things are different; she has just been inaugurated as Head of Wonoayu Village for the third time. Ms. Wina, as she is known, is an alumna of UNISMA’s Master of Administrative Science (MIA) program who graduated in 2016; she was inaugurated at Malang Regency Hall yesterday.
Mrs. Wina observed that the performance of the Patokpicis Village administration was running smoothly and satisfying the community, which inspired her to choose the thesis title, “The Capabilities and Work Motivation of Village Administration (A Study of the Patokpicis Village Government, Wajak Subdistrict, Malang Regency).” This research topic led Mrs. Wina to earn her Master’s degree in Administrative Science from UNISMA.
Wonoayu Village is one of the villages serving as a UNISMA Pilot Project, featuring various activities aligned with the Tri Dharma of Higher Education. Undergraduate and graduate students also carry out structured activities in the village. It is no wonder that Wonoayu Village has experienced such rapid changes and improvements.
Infrastructure development is the primary focus of the current administration, followed by growth and development in the economic sector. Many products created by the residents of Wonoayu Village utilize local raw materials, particularly agricultural products, such as papaya-based candies, chips, and others. “One Village, One Product” has become the focus of Wonoayu Village’s development by encouraging community participation in economic activities. This is not an empty dream. The proof is that Wonoayu Village is one of the focal points of the Kampung KB program.
