Postgraduate Program UNISMA Conduct Official Visit to the Indonesian Consulate in Songkhla, Thailand

Songkhla, Thailand — On September 4, 2024, representatives from the Master’s Programs in Indonesian Language Education and Mathematics Education at the Postgraduate Program of Universitas Islam Malang (UNISMA), Dr. Surya Sari Faradiba, M.Pd., and Dr. Akhmad Tabrani, M.Pd., conducted an official visit to the Consulate of the Republic of Indonesia in Songkhla, Thailand. The delegation was warmly received by Mr. Mohammad Rizky Safary.

During this visit, an important agreement was reached concerning the implementation of the international Kandidat Magister Mengabdi (KSM) program. This program is a community service initiative akin to the Indonesian KKN (Kuliah Kerja Nyata) but designed for international students. Through this program, students will have the opportunity to teach in schools located in Southern Thailand, contributing to the enhancement of educational quality in the region.

“This is good innisiative from UNISMA, and we support the program in order to increase student competences from Indonesia” Said Rizky Safari

This visit not only strengthened the relationship between UNISMA and the Indonesian Consulate in Songkhla but also opened new opportunities for students to gain international experience in the field of education.

“We hope the student who conduct KSM can reach a wider opportunities, especially from Thailand” said Faradiba

The program is expected to be launched soon, marking a strategic step in improving educational quality and fostering international cooperation between Indonesia and Thailand.
