The Master’s Program in English Language Education (PS MPB-Ing) is an integral part of the Postgraduate Program of Universitas Islam Malang (UNISMA). As such, the vision, mission, objectives, and goals of the program cannot be separated from those of UNISMA’s Postgraduate Program and UNISMA itself. Both of which serve as the primary reference in formulating the program’s own direction and aspirations.
Vision
To become an internationally standards Master’s Program in English Language Education that is future-oriented in science, technology, and the arts, producing graduates who are capable of solving and developing English language learning through a scientific approach, and who embody akhlaqul karimah (noble character) grounded in the values of Islam Ahlussunnah wal Jama’ah.
Mission
- To deliver professional ICT-based English language education and instruction that enhances students’ intellectual capacity, develops their expertise in English language learning, and cultivates akhlaqul karimah rooted in the values of Islam Ahlussunnah wal Jama’ah.
- To conduct theoretical and applied research in the field of English language learning, in order to advance educator professionalism and develop the capacity to plan, implement, and innovate effective and creative English language instruction across all levels of education in Indonesia.
- To carry out research-based community service aimed at disseminating quality best practices in English language learning across various educational levels.
- To develop national and international partnerships to strengthen the professionalism of English language educators, enhance public standing, and advance governance toward an internationally recognised English Language Education program.
Objectives
- To produce Master’s graduates in English Language Education who are capable of planning, resolving challenges in, and developing English language instruction across all educational levels, and who demonstrate advanced active proficiency in both spoken and written English.
- To produce graduates who have mastered the theory and application of effective, creative, and innovative ICT-based English language learning, and who embody akhlaqul karimah grounded in the noble values of Islam Ahlussunnah wal Jama’ah.
- To equip graduates to conduct research and community service that professionally advances English language learning across various levels of education.
- To foster national and international cooperation to strengthen English language educator professionalism, enhance public image, and build sound governance in pursuit of a well-managed English Language Education program.
