Achieving A Accreditation, Unisma’s postgraduate study program is a great choice

Postgraduate program at Universitas Islam Malang (Unisma) is the right choice for higher education. In addition to the six reasons discussed in the previous article, there are several other advantages offered by this university, whose motto is “Dari NU), untuk Indonesia, dan Peradaban Dunia” (From Nahdlatul Ulama (NU), for Indonesia, and World Civilization)

One of its newest advantages is that last Friday (May 10), the National Accreditation Board for Higher Education (BAN PT) awarded an A accreditation to Unisma’s Islamic Religious Education (PAI) Program.

According to Unisma’s Postgraduate Director, Prof. M. Mas’ud Said, MM, Ph.D., the success of Unisma’s Postgraduate Program is inseparable from the encouragement and guidance of Unisma’s Rector, Prof. Dr. Masykuri Bakri, M.Si. “Thanks to his encouragement, trust from the government, society, and other stakeholders has emerged,” said Mas’ud Said

Regarding the A accreditation achieved by the PAI program, according to the man who previously served as a Special Staff Member to the President of the Republic of Indonesia (RI) for Regional Development and Regional Autonomy, this highest accreditation was granted because the research on Islamic education at Unisma is quite strong. “And this makes our program a flagship program,” he added.

The man, who also serves as Chairman of the Nahdlatul Ulama Scholars Association (ISNU), added that for other study programs, an assessment will be conducted by BAN PT in the upcoming days. Two study programs will undergo assessment: Indonesian Language and English Language.” “We are confident that by improving the quality of services, faculty, research, and community service, these programs will achieve the best results,” he said.

Additionally, at Unisma’s postgraduate program, all faculty members holding teaching positions hold doctoral degrees and are professors. “Seventy percent are doctors, and 30 percent are professors,” said the man who previously served as a Special Staff Member to the Minister of Social Affairs. “There are also instructors with extensive experience in their respective fields; besides myself, there is Prof. Shodiqi, who previously served as a Justice of the Constitutional Court,” he said.

In addition, another strength rarely found at other universities is networking. As a leading university with ties to the largest civil society organization, Nahdlatul Ulama’, Unisma has a strong network.

As proof of this, Unisma recently hosted a prestigious event: the Global Summit of University Leaders. The event was attended by foreign university presidents and representatives from one hundred universities under Nahdlatul Ulama’ (NU). “So, by studying at Unisma, students will gain access to an incredibly extensive network,” he concluded.
