Fitriyah and Afidhatul Masruroh, both students in Universitas Islam Malang’s Postgraduate Master’s in Animal Husbandry (MPt) program, presented their thesis proposal seminars on November 13, 2020.
Both seminars were held via Zoom teleconference and ran for two and a half hours, from 6:30 to 9:00 PM. Fitriyah presented her proposed thesis, “Phenotypic Variation Characteristics Based on the Tyrosinase (Tyr) Gene on Qualitative and Quantitative Traits of Coturnix coturnix japonica Quail Raised Under Identical Environmental Conditions.”

Masruroh’s proposal took a somewhat different direction, focusing on a different research subject entitled “Phenotypic Variation Characteristics Based on the Tyr (Tyrosinase) Gene on Qualitative and Quantitative Traits of Novogen Strain Laying Hens.”
Dr. Ir. Mudawamah, M.Si, Head of Educational and Non Educational Enterprises at the Unisma Foundation, served as First Supervisor for both students, while Dr. Ir. Sumartono, MP, Head of the MPt Study Program, and Dr. Ir. Inggit Kentjonowaty, MP, Dean of the Faculty of Animal Husbandry, each took on the role of Second Supervisor.
