Unisma Postgraduate Program Holds Istighosah

Today, Friday, July 17, 2020, Postgraduate Program held a joint istighosah to ask for strength in facing difficult conditions amid the pandemic.

The event was opened and closed by Unisma Postgraduate Program Director Prof. Dr. M. Mas’ud Said, PhD. In his remarks, he addressed several issues, primarily curriculum revisions to accommodate various changes, such as course equivalencies, online classes, seminars, and journal article writing.

Furthermore, it is necessary to work both technically and strategically to introduce Unisma’s Postgraduate Program to a wider audience and to improve student service quality. One initiative already undertaken was a visit to several campuses in Lamongan Regency last week. Strengthening services for students is also crucial to maintaining Unisma’s reputation so that, in the future, Unisma can be recommended by its students.

The Istighosah prayer was led by Prof. Dr. Djunaidi Ghony, Chair of Multicultural Islamic Religious Education Doctoral Program. Moving forward, the Istighosah will be held every Friday and will begin with a congregational Tasbih prayer. The Istighosah was attended by all heads of study programs and staff of Unisma’s Postgraduate Program. (NAD/AL/PPS)
