Postgraduate Program at Universitas Islam Malang initiated a Collaboration with Panca Marga University (UPM) Probolinggo on Wednesday, January 22, 2019. The event, which took place in Panca Marga University’s meeting room, went smoothly between the two universities.
The meeting was led by Mr. Misdiyanto, ST., M.Kom, Head of Public Relations and Student Affairs at UPM Probolinggo. Opening remarks were delivered by Mr. Budi Hariyanto, S.H., M.H., Dean of the Faculty of Law at UPM Probolinggo. He expressed his gratitude for the visit and the planned collaboration between Universitas Islam Malang and Universitas Panca Marga Probolinggo. He also expressed his hope that after signing the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), UPM Probolinggo alumni would be able to continue their studies at Postgraduate Program of Universitas Islam Malang (UNISMA).

Deputy Director 1, Dr. H. Nur Fajar Arief, M.Pd, of UNISMA’s Postgraduate Program also expressed his gratitude for the warm welcome at UPM Probolinggo. Through the collaboration between these two universities, it is hoped that human resources in the city of Probolinggo can be further developed. Previously, UNISMA’s Postgraduate Program had also been in close communication with Probolinggo City Government regarding human resource development in Probolinggo City.
The brief meeting was also attended by senior officials from UPM, including the Dean of Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, Ludfi Arya Wardhana, S.Pd., M.Pd; the Dean of Faculty of Social and Political Sciences, Imam Sucahyo, S.IP., M.AP; and the Dean of Faculty of Literature and Philosophy, Sri Andayani, S.S., M.Hum. This inter-institutional meeting concluded with the exchange of souvenirs and a group photo, followed by a reception.
This collaboration between UNISMA and UPM is expected to span various fields, not only in human resource development and education but also in research and community service.
