The Postgraduate Director also highlighted Pasuruan’s significant potential, noting that the region possesses abundant natural resources stretching from mountainous areas to coastal zones. These resources provide strong opportunities for the development of agro-tourism and agro-industry. “This potential must be properly managed to bring greater benefits to the community,” he added.

Furthermore, Prof. Mas’ud emphasized the importance of collaboration and synergy among stakeholders in fostering innovation within local governance. Universities, he noted, are strategic partners in this effort, particularly in strengthening human resource development through education and research-based innovation.

“At the national level, ministries collaborate with one another to achieve shared goals,” he said.

Meanwhile, the Acting Regent of Pasuruan, Andriyanto, expressed his admiration for the progress achieved by Universitas Islam Malang. “Today, UNISMA has become a prominent university whose quality is recognized nationally,” he stated.
