2 doctoral graduates from East Kalimantan have earned their PhDs from the Multicultural Islamic Religious Education (PAI) Doctoral Program at UNISMA. The newly conferred doctors are Ramdhanil Mubarok and Sobirin Bagus, who both passed their closed doctoral examinations on July 12, 2024.
Ramdhanil Mubarok presented a dissertation titled “The Survival of Multicultural Islamic Education Values among Muslim Minorities in Tana Toraja Village, East Kutai Regency.” Meanwhile, Sobirin Bagus examined the topic “Interethnic Marriage: An Ethnographic Study of Multicultural Islamic Religious Education in East Kutai Regency.”
The two candidates from East Kalimantan were examined by Junaidi as chair of the doctoral session, along with Imam Suprayogo, Yakub Cikusin, and Abdul Haris, who served as members of the examination board together with the candidates’ promoter and co-promoter.

Both candidates were supervised by Maskuri as promoter and Djunaidi Ghony as co-promoter. They successfully completed their doctoral studies with the distinction of cum laude.
