Warm Welcome

Unisma Rector Prof. Dr. H. Maskuri, M.Si, stated in his remarks: “This support must not go to waste. This trust must be preserved and carried out with full responsibility. I’ve made clear that not a single rupiah of this assistance should be diverted elsewhere.”

“I’m asking those responsible for East Java Studies Center to organize activities and pursue strategic initiatives that deliver useful information at least once a month, making a substantial contribution to East Java Provincial Government,” he concluded.

Deputy Rector IV, Dr. Hj. Ir. Istirochah Pujiwati, MP, added in her remarks: “We stand ready to undergo evaluation by East Java Provincial Government’s monitoring team, meeting the expected standards and achieving our set objectives. Postgraduate Director Prof. H. M. Mas’ud Said, MM., PhD, who initiated the partnership between Unisma’s Postgraduate Program and East Java Provincial Government, delivered remarks outlining the collaboration’s achievements to date. He stated: “A studies center like this remains, for now, unique to Unisma. Nowhere else in the region has anything comparable.”

“This isn’t purely a bureaucratic matter, it’s also about advancing scholarship. The reason East Java Studies Center exists at Unisma is simple: we want to accelerate the realization of East Java Provincial Government’s vision, known as ‘Cetar.’ Unisma supports and assists East Java’s Communication and Information Office in building a unified data system across the entire province,” he concluded.

Prof. Mas’ud further detailed the partnership’s achievements, covering research output, the development of East Java Studies Center’s physical facilities, and management of the center’s website.

Remarks from the Monitoring Team

Closing remarks were delivered by Heny Fitriyani, SH., M.Si, from East Java Provincial Government’s Monitoring Team. She stated: “I can genuinely say that this partnership between Unisma’s Postgraduate Program and East Java Provincial Government stands out as the most outstanding of its kind. It represents a substantial contribution, particularly given the direct involvement of scholars engaged in real research work. We hope East Java Studies Center can expand its contribution going forward, covering additional important data areas such as small and medium enterprises, halal industry, digital transformation, and tourism.”

During the visit, the research team also presented several findings to East Java Provincial Government’s monitoring team, covering halal products and industry, small and medium enterprises, and digital transformation.

The visit proceeded smoothly, and the presentation on partnership achievements proved genuinely encouraging: the results showed every program running well and meeting expected standards, delivering mutual benefit to both Unisma and East Java Provincial Government, in line with the shared goals both parties set out in East Java’s Provincial Government Work Plan (RKP).
