Address by the Rector of UNISMA, Prof. Dr. H. Maskuri, M.Si
The next agenda was a briefing by UNISMA Rector. Prof. M. Maskuri, M.Si emphasized the importance of improving academic quality and collaboration. “As we reach our third milestone as a research university, graduate education must adopt research-based learning; if it’s merely a transfer of knowledge, what distinguishes it from an undergraduate program? In fact, high school students today are already beginning their education with experiments or research.”
The Rector also addressed other academic programs, such as improving the Open Journal System (OJS) and book publishing. UNISMA hopes that academic activities will be optimized, utilizing the allocated funds, including for book publishing.
In response, Prof. Maskuri highlighted all the publications overseen by Director of Postgraduate Program. He emphasized that these publications are ongoing. Wherever Prof. Masud Said is, that is also part of Unisma’s publications and branding.
