The Rector of Universitas Islam Malang, Prof. Junaidi Mistar, formally introduced the university to Afeefuddin Al-Jailani during the same occasion.
He expressed strong hope that Sheikh Afeefuddin’s visit would mark the beginning of closer academic and spiritual ties between UNISMA and educational institutions in Iraq, particularly those affiliated with the legacy of Abdul Qadir Gilani.

“UNISMA has established international partnerships with universities in Uzbekistan and Azerbaijan. We are currently initiating discussions with Al-Azhar Observatory for Combating Extremism as part of our commitment to strengthening moderate Islamic education,” Prof. Junaidi explained.
The evening concluded with the distribution of aid to orphans, reflecting the social values exemplified by Sheikh Abdul Qadir Al-Jailani. The presence of Grand Sheikh Afeefuddin Al-Jailani infused the gathering with profound spiritual significance while fostering stronger bonds among Muslim communities across borders.
