Graduate Program Re-socializes Academic Policy of Doctoral program in Multicultural Islamic Education

The graduate program of Unisma re-socialized the academic policy of Doctoral Program in Islamic Religion Education on February 27, 2021 via Zoom.

The agenda was guided by Dwi Ari Kurniawati, M.H. The agenda began with a typical opening of Unisma, then followed by the directions of the rector, Prof. Dr. H. Maskuri, M.Si, graduate program director, Prof. Masud Said, MM., Ph.D and the head of study program, Prof. Dr. Djunaidi Ghony.

The graduate program director confirmed that the academic policy of the doctoral program study period to graduate on time is 3 years (6 semesters) and the deadline for study completion is 7 years or 14 semesters. In order to encourage students to graduate on time, strategic steps are needed to complete studies.

One of the materials presented was about the use of reputable international journals to replace their dissertations based on the Decree of the Rector of Unisma number 85/G152/U.AK/R/XII/2019.

If students can publish their disertation finding or scientific works in reputable international journals, they will be free from dissertation defense and automatically earn  grade A.

This academic policy is used to improve student achievement, work, and creativity, especially in terms of scientific publications in reputable national journals or reputable international journals. This policy is also used to give appreciation, recognition and awards to students who excel in scientific publications.

However, open examinations are still held to take responsibility for their writings in the journal. (AL/PPS)
